Practice strengthening your body and mind with Cognitive Filipino Martial Arts! This ancient discipline had been proven to sharpen your cognitive ability as well as physical conditioning. Our custom classes and individual training sessions are tailor-made to your individual level to assist with strength, balance, and cognitive agility. No matter your ability level or experience, Coach Victor will lead you through a workout that will improve fitness and sharpen your mind.
Classes
Intro Martial Arts class for Seniors
Have you always wanted to try martial arts? No matter your ability level, this 45 minute introductory class for individuals or groups is your opportunity to experience all the mental and physical benefits martial arts provides. Coach Victor will guide you through movements designed to stimulate your mind, promote strength and balance, and ultimately, longevity. You will use both foam sticks and empty hands in drills with the instructor or a classmate for a full mind and body workout, finishing with gentle stretching.
Intermediate Martial Arts for Seniors
Do you have some experience in martial arts? This 45 minute intermediate class builds on the intro class by incorporating more complex, empty handed work, and by adding sticks of different lengths and sizes for a further challenge to body and mind. You will work one on one with Coach Victor or a partner, for 45 minutes of stimulating cognitive and bodily challenges!
Advanced Martial Arts for Seniors
You are looking for intense stimulation not only for your body, but also for your mind. Bring your A game to the Advanced class for the ultimate challenge! We build on the intermediate class by using more complex movements and incorporating training daggers along with stickwork. Take mastery over movement in these partnered exercises, designed to allow you to experience conversation with movement, for 45 minutes guided under the expert eye of Coach Victor.
About Us
After a close call that nearly led to being outnumbered in a street fight, Victor decided to check out his local martial arts gym. He was hooked right from the very first class! For nearly a decade, Victor has been training 5 days a week in varied martial arts disciplines, including kali, panetukan, JKD and muay thai. He is passionate about what martial arts can do for body and mind after experiencing it for himself first hand. Coach Victor is comfortable teaching in either Spanish or English. He trains diverse ability levels, from people taking their very first martial arts class all the way to coaching fighters. It is Victor’s greatest joy to teach martial arts to others and to see their transformation.
